Wisemans Ferry Park Reopens

[vc_row][vc_column][us_image image=”77624″ size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After sustaining major damage from two floods in 2022, Wisemans Ferry Park has reopened to the community.

Mayor of the Hills Shire Peter Gangemi celebrated the renewal of the park, which has been both repaired and upgraded.

“Wisemans Ferry Park is the most picturesque park in the shire and the facility looks amazing after the clean up,” he said. “I highly encourage people to come down to Wisemans Ferry and stop in at the park and support the local businesses while in town.”

Due to the floods, 7,000 tonnes of sand and 120 tonnes of waste washed up onto the park – including water tanks, kayaks and horse troughs – that had to be removed.

Existing park infrastructure that could be salvaged was heavily cleaned, and over 12,000 square metres of new turf has been laid down for activities in the park.

There are multiple new additions to the park thanks to the renovations, including a new playground, walking circuit and guest amenities such as park shelters and benches.
