Waves Fitness and Aquatic Centre is offering free entry to people with disability on Thursday, 7 December 2023.

The Hills Shire Council encourages people with disability and their carers to see the various fitness and aquatic equipment at the Centre and to celebrate the United Nations International Day of People with Disability on Sunday, 3 December 2023.

There will also be an opportunity to meet inspiring speakers and learn more about the various disability services in the Hills on Thursday.

The celebration at the Wave Fitness and Aquatic Centre will last from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM.

The Centre received its much-needed revamp in 2022, adding facilities such as an outdoor FINA Standard Olympic-sized 50-metre pool with ten lanes, a 25-metre outdoor training pool, an indoor 25-metre and family leisure pool, a 20-metre warm water program pool, a sauna, spa pool, and a steam room.

On 12 June last year, the Centre was acknowledged as “one of the most inclusive and accessible community facilities in the country.
