Road Closures Due to Heavy Rain

The Hills Shire Hit By Heavy Rain: Road Closures and Evacuation Center Activated

Following heavy rainfall overnight in The Hills Shire, as predicted by weather forecasts, this update provides important information for residents.

Road Closures:

Several roads are currently closed due to flooding:

• McClymonts Road, Maraylya
• Blue Gum Road, Annangrove
• Cattai Ridge Road, Cattai
• River Road, Leets Vale

Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and use alternative routes. Pitt Town Road bridges remain open but are being closely monitored.

Sporting Grounds Closed

With the exception of synthetic fields 1 and 2 at Bernie Mullane Sports Complex and Bella Vista Public School, all sports grounds across The Hills Shire are closed.

Castle Hill Showground Activated as Evacuation Center

The Castle Hill Showground has been activated as an evacuation center for animals. Residents requiring assistance with animal evacuation should contact local authorities.
