Hawkesbury City Council’s Inaugural International Women’s Day Event

Hawkesbury mayor Sarah McMahon ran the Council’s inaugural International Women’s Day event yesterday that celebrated the women of the Hawkesbury region.
“This year as Mayor, I really wanted Council to host our own event on this special day, to celebrate some amazing, strong and resilient women, who have given so much time to our community over the last few tough years,” she said.
The event was successful with attendance from a wide variety of people and community groups, all joined together to commemorate the vital role of women in the community.
