A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Sanctuary Drive, Rouse Hill, at about 7:00 PM on Tuesday, 9 April 2024, the Hills Police Area Command reported.

According to NSW Police, emergency services were called to the crash scene following reports of a bus and car colliding.

“NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a passenger in the car – a man believed to be aged in his 60s – however, he died at the scene,” the report said.

“The driver – a 40-year-old man – was trapped before being released by Fire and Rescue NSW. He was treated for minor injuries before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.” 

On the other hand, three other passengers—a woman aged in her 60s, a 39-year-old woman and a 4-year-old child—were taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

The 61-year-old male bus driver was uninjured and taken to Blacktown Hospital for mandatory testing.

The Hills Police Area Command officers established a crime scene, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is underway.
